BOXING DAY

Okay, since it’s the new year, I’m going to make this short and sweet.
I am really getting tired of people trying to compare Boxing to MMA. It’s not the same thing. Yeah, I’m sure Mike Tyson in his prime would have a hard time beating Anderson Silva in a no-holds-barred fight, but look at it this way: put Silva in a ring with Tyson where he can’t use his feet or submission wrestling moves, and if he goes to the floor it counts as a knockdown, and how well do you think Silva would do? BE HONEST.
Boxing is not “real” fighting. it is a SPORT, with rules and restrictions. Comparing the two is like comparing Soccer and Rugby. They may look similar on the surface, but they are totally different sports.
Same thing with comparing Pro Wrestling to MMA. There have been a few MMA stars that have been able to do well in Rasslin, and there have been a couple of Sports Entertainers who have made the switch to MMA. The criteria for how each entity is judged is totally different. MMA is not scripted, Pro Wrestling is. MMA is judged by technique and effectiveness, Pro Wrestling is just by crowd response and entertainment value.
You can’t hit somebody over the head with a steel chair in MMA.
Your ability to talk trash matters a lot more in wrestling than it does in MMA.
People can’t randomly run in and interfere with matches in MMA.
It’s. Not. The. Same.
so please stop talking about them like they are.
Thank you.
