Comic’s name: Blaster Nation
Creators: Leslie Ortego and Brad Brown
What is the comic about: The life and times of a gaming geek and his circle of friends.
How is comic drawn: Deceptively simple, colorful and cartoony style
How often updated: Wednesdays and Sundays
What else does the website offer: There’s a blog from the writer, sections for fan art, downloadable wallpapers, and some very affordable commission rates (I might get at these guys myself…)
What do I think of the site’s overall design: Very simple and clean Comicpress design.
What do I like about the strip: this is a very charming slice-of-life webcomic, and it’s pretty durned funny. I like the art style. It’s cartoony but clean and expressive, and has a warmth that makes it likable. The characters are unique and have their own distinct personalities and they interact in hilarious ways.
Why should YOU read it: It’s an honest, well-drawn comic with a lot of heart and a lot of laughs. You’ll enjoy this one if you give it a chance.
ESRB rating: mature audiences (there’s a bit of nudity on some of the pages. If the occasional nipple shot offends you, then you’ve been warned.)
