Just finished pencils and inks for two more pages of chapter 5 of this action webcomic. Hopefully I can make some more progress sometime this week. No guarantees, though: my computer has been acting a fool lately, and I’m doing the best I can with that.
I know I recommended Megatokyo.com a long time ago, but I just want to reiterate that it is an awesome webcomic you really should be checking out. It has avery intricate, character-driven story with a lot of great twists and turns. Makes me want to do a bit more character exploration in my own action webcomic.
in other news, i know the IWC is jumping for joy with the directions that the WWE and TNA have gone in, along with the bump in exposure that Ring of Honor has been getting. WWE has ridden CM Punk as their champion and one of their top draws for almost a year now, and they have also worked hard to develop and promote Daniel Bryan. these guys were indie legends and IWC darlings. They have also all but guaranteed Dolph Ziggler, another IWC favorite, a title reign, while bringing in a ton of former ROH and indie stars, developing their tag team division, and scaling back their usually massive promotion of John Cena and Randy Orton. It looks like the higher-ups (namely, HHH) have really been paying attention to the smarks in the IWC. Same over at TNA, which has given their young guns in Robert Roode and Austin Aries big pushes, and is really pushing the envelope with their Aces and Eights storyline. I’m sure the IWC likes the fact that they are shying away from the old WWE/WCW retreads that they have been wheeling out under the leadership of Hogan and Bischoff.
But then again, i wonder how long it will be before the IWC gets tired of all of these guys and starts complaining and asking for something different? We’re a pretty fickle bunch.
