Comic’s name: Mega Maiden and the Chop Chop Princess

Creators: Anden Pinkard

What is the comic about: two superhuman gals become friends over the internet and decide to room together and fight crime and stuff. Hijinks ensue.

How is comic drawn: Very sketchy style that changes every few pages from black and white manga to color cartoony to underground comix to whatever style Anden feels like utilizing at the time.

How often updated: Every Tuesday

What else does the website offer: Archives, FAQ, blog, shopzone, character bios.

What do I think of the site’s overall design: Not quite sure I’m feeling the site design here. There are two different navigation menus, only one of which looks like some thought was put into it. Makes for a very confusing navigation. The blue links are hard to read over the teal background, and the icons and ads look thrown on haphazardly.

What do I like about the strip:  Despite me not really liking the site design, I do enjoy the actual comic. It is fun and lighthearted, with enough character growth and development to keep you coming back for more. In fact, the major twist in the fifth storyarc alone is worth checking out. Like in other superhero stories I enjoy, following these girls during their downtime is actually the best part of the narrative, as it gives some life to the characters aside from the crimefighting.

Why should YOU read it: if you like fun, unpredictable superheroine stories, you’ll like this one. The creator was obviously having fun making it, and you’ll have fun reading it.

ESRB rating: Mature Audiences. There are quite a few potty mouths in the story, and the cheesecake is a bit gratuitous, but it’s all still pretty SFW for the most part.
